Product information
By Stéphane Simon
The Excalibur is one of the files I use most in my daily practice. It's a reciprocating file, safe, versatile, and easy to use. On "normal" canals, a glide path up to K15 is sufficient to perform a complete preparation in several steps.
For calcified, long, or curved canals, a pre-enlargement file may be necessary. This file, also called a glider, bridges the gap between a hand file and the Excalibur. The Excalibur Glider thus plays a very useful role.
The Excalibur deforms before breaking, allowing for early replacement. Its gold alloy and reciprocal motion delay deformation, making it tolerant of root canal challenges. Its 5% taper, intermediate between the classic 6% taper and the slim 4% taper, allows for all irrigation and obturation modes.
The apical diameters of 25 and 35 are suitable for the vast majority of cases encountered on a daily basis, while preserving the root dentin. For all these reasons, the Excalibur is the file I use most often in my treatments.
Technical description of the product
Description

It is available in 3 lengths and 4 apical diameters (20/100, 25/100, 35/100 and 45/100).
The mandrels are conductive and the instruments can be used with a motor coupled to an apex locator.
