The Multi-frequency technology of the Apex localizer function gives it very high reliability and reproducibility, even in the presence of irrigation solution or even blood in the canal.
For its "electrical test" function, the stylus plugs into the device and offers a gradual increase in electrical intensity.
The stylus is placed on the tooth covered with a conductor (such as toothpaste for example) then the intensity of the signal is gradually increased by pressing the switch.
The patient is asked to come forward when he feels the current passing through the tooth.
The value of this test is only comparative from one test to another.
