Product information

By Stéphane Simon

The Digitest is one of the few electrical testers available in Europe for testing pulp sensitivity.
The electrical test is recognized as being the most specific, and sensitive for some authors, of the pulp sensitivity tests.
The Digitest has 3 different shaped tips, particularly well designed for endodontic testing.
Good power, the intensity increases gradually and quickly. The electrode can be placed at the corner of the lips or held in the patient's hand. So when he feels the current in the tooth, the patient can let go of the electrode and the test is immediately stopped.
The Digitest is particularly specific for pulp diagnosis in traumatology but also in short, medium and long term monitoring of revitalization treatments.
Easy to use, it easily finds its place in the consultation diagnostic tray.
The electrical test is a "comparative" test. This implies that it must be carried out several times at a distance in time, and the values are "comparative" and not indicative.

Technical description of the product

Description

The Digitest® 3 is an electric pulp vitality tester designed to help the practitioner establish a reliable and early diagnosis of pulp vitality.

Clinical studies demonstrate that combining electrical pulp testing (EPT) with cold testing provides a more accurate assessment than using either method alone. A study published in the Journal of the American Dental Association concludes that combining these two approaches significantly improves the reliability of pulp diagnosis.

The Digitest® 3 electrically stimulates the tooth to assess its response. Comparing the suspected tooth with a healthy tooth subjected to the same stimulus allows for more precise identification of the patient's pain origin. This approach promotes earlier diagnosis and more proactive treatment planning.

Thanks to its unique precision probe , the Digitest® 3 also allows for the effective testing of crowned teeth , where other devices may fall short. It is therefore widely used by clinicians to diagnose and treat problematic teeth before the onset of more advanced clinical signs.

The device is CE certified, comes with a 2-year warranty and is based on precision engineering ensuring the reliability of each test.
