Diagnostic Kit (Jordco)

The three most commonly used diagnostic tests in endodontics are the cold test, the bite test and the periodontal probing.

The Jordco Diagnostic Kit has two ends:

• The first is intended for the bite test based on the model of the famous Tooth Slooth. It is positioned on the tooth to be tested, and the patient is asked to bite gently on the instrument. Sudden pain upon release is generally pathognomonic of a root fracture. The shape of the instrument allows the tooth to be tested in its integrity, but also cusp by cusp.
• The second end is intended to receive a tip which is "loaded" with a small foam. The cold test is sprayed on this foam which allows the cold test to be carried out very selectively. The tip and the foam are for single use.
