Slimshapers are canal shaping instruments with significant flexibility. Like Blueshapers, Slimshapers have received a heat treatment which gives them flexibility and resistance.

The final shaping has a diameter of 25/100 and a taper of 4% with the ZS3.

The system combines three different heat treatments depending on the position in the instrument in the operating sequence.

The instruments must therefore be passed one after the other, always reaching the working length before moving on to the next in the sequence.

One of the disadvantages of heat treatments is the reduction of the cutting effect. By integrating the double heat treatment on the same file, the instrument benefits from better efficiency at the tip, while retaining its other properties for the rest of the canal.

So the tip of the ZS1 is no longer in Gold, but in M ​​Wire and the rest of the file in Gold.

The tip of the ZS2 is in Gold and the rest of the file is in Pink

Finally, the tip of the ZS3 is in Gold and the rest of the file in Blue.

Description

The classic Slim Shaper, reinvented with double heat treatment

The Slim Shaper PRO is the next-generation version of the Slim Shaper, belonging to ZARC's PRO family — the family of double heat treatment on a single instrument. It retains the minimalist philosophy of the classic Slim Shaper while gaining cutting efficiency thanks to a differentiated heat treatment on the apical 3 mm.

Double heat treatment: why? One of the drawbacks of heat treatments is the reduction in cutting effect. By integrating two distinct treatments on the same file, the Slim Shaper PRO benefits from better efficiency at the tip while retaining the flexibility and resistance properties of the rest of the instrument.

An optimized 3-instrument sequence

  • ZS1 – Gold / M Wire tip: the first instrument in the sequence, requiring maximum cutting efficiency to initiate shaping. The M Wire tip offers optimal penetration in unprepared canals.
  • ZS2 – Pink / Gold tip: used in a canal that is already partially prepared. The Gold tip improves apical efficiency while maintaining the flexibility of the Pink body.
  • ZS3 – Blue / Gold tip: the last instrument in the sequence. The maximum flexibility of the Blue body is combined with the efficiency of the Gold tip to finalize shaping to the working length.

Final result: diameter 25/100, taper 4% with the ZS3.

⚠️ The shaping obtained is less tapered than that of the BlueShaper. It is strongly advised to use paper and gutta cones dedicated to the SlimShaper system. Failing that, use 4% tapered cones.
