Product information
By Stéphane Simon
The Neo Sealer Flo is the fluid version of the Neo MTA, a product marketed for over 20 years by the American company Avalon.
Radiopacity is obtained by adding Tantalum and not Zirconium Oxide. The very high radiopacity of Tantalum allows for very good radiopacity while retaining a maximum of active product (**47% active product,** 44% tantalum and 9% stabilizers) which makes it one of the most concentrated products in active product available on the market.
The syringes are marketed with Flexotips which are mixed tips (metal and plastic).
The plastic part, like a straw, allows it to adapt perfectly to the curvatures of the channels, in order to deliver the material with perfect control up to 3 or 4mm of the working length.
As the injection progressed, the tip was pulled out of the canal.
It is recommended to never jam the tip into the canal.
Technical description of the product
Description
The benchmark fluid bioceramic cement — 20 years of clinical experience
Neo Sealer FLO is the fluid, injectable version of Neo MTA, marketed for over 20 years by the American company Avalon Biomed and distributed by ZARC since 2022. It is one of the most concentrated bioceramic cements in active ingredient available on the market.
Not to be confused with Neo Sealer Putty Neo Sealer FLO is a fluid material injectable into canals, used as a sealer in single-cone technique with a gutta-percha cone. Neo Sealer Putty is a "putty" version intended for surgical uses (capping, perforation, apexification). Two different products for two distinct indications.
47% active ingredient — the most concentrated on the market Radio-opacity is achieved by adding Tantalum, not Zirconium Oxide. In equal quantities, Tantalum is 20% more radio-opaque than Zirconium Oxide, which allows for maximizing the concentration of active ingredient: 47% active ingredient, 44% Tantalum, and 9% stabilizers.
Biocompatible, antimicrobial, and dimensionally stable Unlike resin-based cements, Neo Sealer FLO is dimensionally stable (<1% shrinkage), biocompatible, non-cytotoxic, and antimicrobial. It promotes hydroxyapatite formation on the surface to optimize sealing and support the healing process.
Flexotips: precise apical access The Flexotips provided with the syringe are mixed metal/plastic tips. The flexible plastic part, comparable to a thin straw, allows for injecting the cement up to 3 to 4 mm from the working length with complete control of deposition.
One syringe = approximately 36 canals.
