The Z condensor® is inserted between the gutta cone and the canal wall

In order to obtain sufficient heat to plasticize the gutta-percha, the Z-Condensor® must be operated at a speed of 8,000 rpm with high torque.

For complete obturation of the canal system, bring the instrument to a distance of 2 mm from the apex of the canal that has already been prepared. The penetration depth of the Z-Condensor® can be checked using the graduations marked on the instrument shaft or using the silicone stop.

1) Establish the working length and apical stop of the root canal.

2) Insert the gutta-percha tip and the Z-Condensor® into the canal, and press the Z-Condensor® against the gutta-percha.

3) Lower the Z-Condensor® into the channel, rotating it continuously (clockwise).

4) When the gutta percha is very plastic, slowly remove the Z-Condensor® from the canal, while keeping it in continuous rotation.

The Z Condensor can also be used for sealing with the “mixed” technique. Lateral condensation with three cones and thermo-compaction
