Technical description of the product
Description
EDMax Finishers Neolix Files - NiTi Canal Finishing Instruments
The EDMax Finishers files, designed and manufactured in France by Neolix, are Nickel-Titanium (NiTi) canal finishing instruments with a constant taper (4%). Available in apical diameters of 30/100 and 40/100, they are ideally designed to complement the EDMax Shapers for the final and secure shaping of wider foramina.
The exclusive technology of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)
Like the entire EDMax range, the Finishers instruments benefit from a unique manufacturing method: Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM). Unlike traditional grinding, this process sculpts the metal by thermal subtraction via a wire, without any physical contact with the instrument.
This industrial innovation offers essential clinical advantages for the dental practice:
- Extreme fracture resistance: The elimination of mechanical stress related to grinding removes the risk of structural micro-cracks. The files exhibit exceptional resistance to cyclic fatigue and torsional fracture.
- Dual action (Cutting & Abrasion): The EDM process naturally generates a rough surface on the file. This combines a clean cutting effect with strong abrasive power, facilitating the removal and evacuation of dentinal debris.
- Plastic deformation and flexibility: These constant taper instruments offer very high flexibility and excellent plastic deformation capacity. They perfectly adapt to the curvatures of the apical third without displacing the canal or creating a ledge.
Simplicity and operative safety
Used in continuous rotation at a speed of 500 rpm and with torque control of 1.5 N.cm, EDMax Finishers files integrate easily into your usual endodontic protocol to ensure rigorous apical cleaning that respects the original anatomy.
