Description
EDMax Neolix Files - NiTi Canal Shaping Instruments
The EDMax canal shaping instruments, developed by the French brand Neolix, represent a true evolution in the design of mechanized endodontic instruments. Designed with constant taper (4% and 6%), these files are the result of cutting-edge technology that revolutionizes endodontic standards.
The revolution of Electro-Discharge Machining (EDM)
The great uniqueness of EDMax files lies in their unique manufacturing process: they are shaped not by traditional grinding, but by Electro-Discharge Machining (EDM). This innovative concept involves sculpting metal by thermal subtraction via a wire, eliminating all physical contact and mechanical stress with the metal part.
This exclusive production process provides major benefits to the practitioner:
- Zero micro-cracks: The absence of grinding eliminates structural micro-cracks, which gives the files drastically improved resistance to cyclic fatigue and torsional fracture.
- Enhanced abrasive power: EDM machining naturally creates a rough surface on the instrument. In addition to its clean cutting effect, the file benefits from superior abrasive action for optimal evacuation of dentin debris.
- Design freedom: This technology allows Neolix to imagine and design ideal file shapes that are impossible to achieve with conventional machining methods.
Extreme flexibility and plastic deformation
A direct evolution of the famous first NeoNiTi range, the EDMax constant taper instruments push the limits of safety. They offer very significant flexibility and, above all, a very pleasant plastic deformation capability in use. The file thus perfectly adapts to the anatomy and curves of the canal without creating ledges, while maintaining constant cutting efficiency.
A complete and modular protocol
EDMax instruments adapt to all clinical situations thanks to apical diameter options of 20/100 and 25/100. For wider canals, the sequence can be ideally complemented by the use of EDMax Finishers (apical diameters of 30/100 and 40/100).
