Microcopy: A family company

Microcopy was founded in 1970 by Thom Maass Sr and his son Thom Mass Jr.

Their objective at this time is to innovate in order to combine efficiency, simplicity and above all safety for patients.

In 1989, Microcopy launched its flagship product, NeoDiamond® at a very particular health period since the HIV virus and the disease associated with it, AIDS, are a major global concern.

Aware of the difficulty of cleaning rotating instruments which come into contact with patients' biological tissues, Microcopy is launching with Neo diamond, the concept of single-use instruments for dental practices.

Using a product on a single patient was, and still is, a safer and more effective way to protect patients from the risk of cross-contamination.

NeoDiamond has quickly become an industry flagship product . Microcopy then gained worldwide recognition.

With more than two hundred and fifty million copies sold, NeoDiamond remains the world leader in the market for single-use diamond burs.

Over the years, Microcopy has expanded its catalog of single-use products to include NeoBurr® -

NeoBurr® is a collection of tungsten carbide burrs manufactured in one piece.

Later they integrated the manufacture of polishers (NeoShine®) and absorbent patch (NeoDrys®) for better control of the patient's salivation during intra-oral work when it is applied to the orifice of the Stenon canal of the Parotid.

Microcopy burs are particularly suitable for endodontics, as they allow dentists to penetrate the access cavity with a sterile bur. Used in combination with a sterile Endo file, Microcopy burs enable cleaner and therefore safer root canal treatment.
