Technical description of the product

Description

MedCEM Portland Cement: The high-purity alternative to MTA for your endodontic treatments

In endodontics as in pediatric dentistry, the choice of capping and repair material directly determines long-term clinical success. MedCEM Pure Portland Cement stands out as a serious, economical, and clinically reliable alternative to MTA (Mineral Trioxide Aggregate), without compromising on quality.

A pure formulation for optimal color stability

Unlike many cements on the market, MEDCEM Pure Portland Cement contains no additional agents. This "pure" formulation gives it excellent color stability, making it the material of choice for pulp capping on anterior teeth or teeth exposed during smiling. No more risk of discoloration that can compromise the aesthetic outcome.

Bioactive properties similar to MTA

MedCEM Portland Cement has mechanical properties and bioactivity very similar to those of MTA. It promotes the formation of mineralized tissues and offers exceptional biocompatibility, ensuring a favorable tissue response in all clinical situations. Another important advantage: its composition contains very few heavy metals, unlike conventional MTA.

Clinical indications:

This high-purity Portland cement is indicated for a wide range of procedures: direct and indirect pulp capping, pulpotomy, root perforation repair, apexification, and apexogenesis. Its stable and predictable clinical behavior also makes it a first-choice solution for treatments on primary teeth, where its quality/price ratio represents a significant advantage over MTA.

Protocol for use:

The powder is mixed with sterile water on a glass slab until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Handling is simple and reproducible, without requiring specific equipment.

Available packaging:

MedCEM Portland Cement is available in two formats suitable for all practice volumes:

  • Bottle of 10 capsules of 0.35 g (each capsule allows 2 to 3 treatments)
  • Bottle of 7 g of bulk product, offering approximately 60 treatments.

Manufactured in Switzerland by MEDCEM.
