Passive Ultrasound Activation (PUI) produces a cavitation effect within the canal during the final irrigation phase. This activation allows:
- To eliminate canal debris stuck to the dentinal walls
- To eliminate residues of filling materials in cases of reprocessing
- To participate in the disintegration of the biofilm
- To clean isthmuses and other anomalies of endodontic anatomy
- To facilitate the detachment of the dentinal smear on the canal walls.
Ultrasonic activation is an excellent complement to the effects of irrigation solutions, whether disinfectant or chelating. It is particularly recommended with the use of Dual Rinse.;
The Endo 3 is solely dedicated to ultrasonic activation during the final phase of canal irrigation/disinfection.

The handpiece is autonomous , and recharges by induction on its base which is connected to the mains via a USB-C cable;
The device remains autonomous for several hours of use (around 40 hours)
Very light, it has three programmable power levels.
It is not suitable for removing fractured instruments, for example.
Ultrasonic activation is an excellent complement to optimize root canal disinfection. It can be used with all irrigation solutions , especially those enriched with the Dual Rinse chelating agent.
