Hot gutta obturation remains the reference technique in endodontics.
After obtaining an apical plug during the “descent” of the obturation, the filling of the canal is carried out by injecting gutta in fluid phase.
Two tips for bubble-free sealing:
- Insert the needle until it touches the existing gutta plug and wait 10 seconds before starting the injection.
- Do the ascent in two or three stages, compacting the injected gutta at each stage.

Description
Hot gutta-percha obturation remains the gold standard technique in endodontics. After creating an apical plug during the "descent" of the obturation, the canal is filled by injecting molten gutta-percha.
Alpha-phase Gutta-percha: optimal fluidity
Unlike Beta-phase gutta-percha used for cones, Alpha-phase gutta-percha melts at a lower temperature and offers very low viscosity when heated. It flows easily into canal irregularities, limiting the risk of voids or air bubbles in the obturation. It is maintained at an ideal temperature as it passes through the needle heated to 180°C.
Compatibility
These pellets are compatible with ZARC's Z-Up, Woodpecker's Fi-G, and Eighteeth's Space Fill. They insert directly into the device's heating chamber.

- Withdraw the needle in two or three stages, compacting the injected gutta-percha at each step.
Device Maintenance
Clean the injector chamber each time you change a pellet and finish extruding the material at the end of the treatment. Avoid letting gutta-percha cool down in the device between each patient.
