Technical description of the product
Description
Methylene blue is a specific dye for organic tissues.
Applied to dental tissue, it is thus able to distinguish organic elements from mineral elements of the same structure.
Placed at the bottom of an access cavity, for example, it will stain the pulp or necrotic tissue, without staining the dentin, which is partly mineralized.
This makes it easier to indicate the location of canal entrances when they are difficult to find.
Methylene Blue is also very useful in endodontic surgery . Applied to the apical part of the root, it helps locate the canal orifices.
It is also very useful for highlighting cracks or fractures on a root. Cracks/fractures are where bacteria attach. Methylene blue will easily identify them by staining them specifically.
