When shaping a canal, it may happen that the foraminal diameter once prepared requires modifying the section of the cone.
This ruler allows you to calibrate the cone at its tip very precisely.
So, there is no need to have all the cone sizes at your disposal. You just need to have cones of a minimum size (25/100) for example, with a conicity adapted to the shaping system, and to modify the tip diameter by inserting it into the die, and cutting the part that emerges with a scalpel.
The precision of these orifices is such that the diameter is even more precise than that of calibrated cones which benefit from a manufacturing tolerance.

The ZARC cone diameter calibration gauge is a clever tool that precisely adapts the apical diameter of a gutta-percha cone to the canal preparation. No need to have all cone sizes available — simply have cones of a minimum size (25/100 for example), with the taper appropriate for your shaping system, and modify the tip diameter by inserting the cone into the die, then cutting off the protruding part with a scalpel.
Superior precision to pre-calibrated cones The precision of the openings in this gauge is such that the diameter obtained is even more accurate than that of factory-calibrated cones, which have a production tolerance. It's a precision tool, not a compromise.
Designed for work under a microscope Black in color, the gauge offers optimal contrast when used under an operating microscope or with loupes associated with illumination. It easily integrates into all endodontic trays.
