ZARC hand files are steel K files. They are used for initial exploration of canals, gauging of the foramen or for manual shaping of canals with wider than normal foramens.

The Excalibur is the ZARC society's instrument of reciprocity. Used with the conventional reciprocal movement (30° clockwise, 150° counterclockwise) the Excalibur is part of the so-called "mono-intsumental sequence" instruments.
